Be the Love 2012 is our sixth Be the Love conference, and this time we’ve selected a beautiful venue in Chester, CT. Convienent to both Boston & New York, The Guest House is a is a delightful new retreat center in the scenic Connecticut River Valley. It is a beautifully renovated country inn on private wooded land, adjacent to a state forest with hiking trails and two neighboring lakes.

As always, Be the Love 2012 will be an eclectic spiritual conference designed to help us awaken to the Truth of our being. We’ve selected inspiring and talented facilitators from the traditions of A Course in Miracles, The Holy Spirit’s Interpretation of the New Testament and Sri Ramana Maharshi. Our event also includes great music, laughter and periods of silence.

Our purpose is to create an environment that allows our facilitators and participants to join in whatever way is guided in the moment. In order to make this work, our speakers are not put on pedestals. They are easily accessible to each other and to the audience, since everyone dines together and attends the event together. Be the Love conferences have a family feel; they are small, intimate conference events.

We hope everyone will have fun, embrace friends and meet new mighty companions at Be the Love 2012. Please join us. Be Inspired. Have enlightening thoughts and realizations. Share your inspirations. Leave rejuvenated and recommitted, excited to Be the Love in your life.

Gary & Cindy Renard

Gary Renard ~ Combining a disarming sense of humor with cutting-edge metaphysical information and experiential exercises, this acclaimed teacher of A Course in Miracles has been described as one of the most interesting and courageous spiritual speakers in the world. Gary Renard, the best-selling author of The Disappearance of the Universe and Your Immortal Reality, began as a successful professional guitar player, but during the harmonic convergence of 1987, he heard a Calling and began to take his life in a different direction. As guided, he carefully wrote Disappearance over a period of nine years. In the fall of 2003, Gary began to present workshops in public. His speaking career took off remarkably fast, and over the past seven years, he has spoken in 42 states, 22 countries, including keynote presentations at the International A Course in Miracles Conferences in Salt Lake City and San Francisco. Gary is also the most recent recipient of the Infinity Foundation Spirit Award. The award is given to a person who has made a meaningful contribution to personal and spiritual growth. Past recipients include Dan Millman, Ram Dass, Gary Zukav, James Redfield, Byron Katie, and Neale Donald Walsch.  www.garyrenard.com

Diederik Wolsak

Diederik Wolsak ~ Diederik’s journey started in 1942 on the island of Java, Indonesia. He spent the first three years of his life in Japanese concentration camps. Many of his core beliefs were developed during that early, potentially traumatic phase. At age 8 he was sent to a foster home in Holland and by the time he rejoined his parents and brothers two years later he was filled with self-hatred and fear of the world around him. This self-hatred, fear and guilt translated into prolonged alcohol and drug abuse till finally at age 50 he reached that point where he realized that there had to be a better way or there would be no point in continuing. While his self-hatred drove him to be a successful businessman and international athlete, it allowed him little joy.Following the fork in the road where something had to change, Diederik entered upon a spiritual path of deep healing. This path eventually led to a fulfilling career as counselor in private practice. www.choose-again.com

Scott Kalechstein-Grace

Scott Kalechstein-Grace ~ Scott performs original songs with his guitar and voice. He spices up his repetoire with songs created spontaneously based on topics suggested by the audience. His intention in his singing and songwriting is to offer both entertainment and education, upliftment and enlightement. He uses his art as a vehicle to inspire transformation, to fuel dreams, to encourage self-esteem, and to help us lighten up in those places where we all can get weighed down in life. When Scott sings you may be prone to laughing uproariously at yourself or at the human condition. You may also be wiping away tears during the very next song. With a luminous, loving and mischievious twinkle in his eyes, Scott makes personal contact with everyone present and does not hide behind a performance facade. With each song he shares an intimate part of himself. No matter how large the audience, you may feel as if you were alone with Scott in your living room, listening with a fire crackling in the fireplace. The warmth will penetrate your skin and touch your heart. www.scottsongs.com

Cuisine at Guest House

Executive Chef Steve Matterazzo believes that food is most delicious when it is prepared in a manner that brings out the natural flavors of the ingredients. He begins with fresh, whole foods, and then designs dishes and menus that incorporate the flavors of the world to best bring out the natural quality of these ingredients. His menus are creative and imaginative.

Much of modern cooking revolves around hiding poor quality ingredients under masks of heavy sauces, artificial flavors, sugary dressings, etc. Steve’s kitchen does not use thickeners, dyes, preservatives, or chemicals in any of his cooking. Since he works with local farmers to obtain the highest quality meat and produce available, his kitchen staff knows that clean, simple preparations will yield gourmet results.

We also believe that the health of our bodies and the environment is always connected. Organic dairy products and produce are purchased whenever possible. All coffee is organic and fair-trade. All salad dressings are made from scratch. Steve’s kitchen never uses products that contain hydrogenated oil, high-fructose corn syrup, aspartame, MSG, ingredients with preservatives, artificial colors, or flavors.
